TV9 targets September-October launch of Kannada news channel

	MUMBAI: TV9, the Hyderabad-based media firm promoted by venture fund i-Labs Associated Fund and Chennai-based Unify Wealth Management, is all set to enter the Kannada market with a news channel. TV9 Kannada is aimed at a September-October launch.

	“TV9 is all set to launch its news channel in the Kannada market. We are tentatively targeting a launch date within the September-October period. The dry run is already on,” says TV9 Kannada director Mahendra Mishra. TV9 already runs TV9 Telugu, a news channel in the Telugu language.TV9 Kannada will be joining Sun Network’s Udaya News, the only other news channel in the market. And the timing of the launch will be very crucial for the channel, since the Rs 2 billion market is also awaiting the launch of Kannada Kasturi, the infotainment channel promoted by the Bangalore-based Kasturi Media Pvt Ltd (KMPL). Kannada Kasturi is targeting a November launch. TV9 Kannada will be following a ‘market expansion strategy’ rather than setting up head-on collision situations with the rival channels. “Our plan is to expand the market further. We are looking at building a new market. News as a genre in Kannada hasn’t been really explored by the existing players as yet. Our effort will be to fill this vacuum with a very different kind of programming,” Mishra says. TV9 is projecting the Kannada channel as “Kannada’s national channel”. “The plan is to give Kannadigas a national channel, which speaks their language. We will be raising the bar in Karnataka, by bringing in the national standards and quality of news coverage and presentation. Our focus will be on local-oriented news, but the packaging will be completely of national standards,” Mishra explains the strategy. The free-to-air channel will have the retail advertiser segment playing a crucial role in its plans, Mishra adds. “Retail advertising is a huge area of activity in Karnataka. It is really booming and we will be exploring this segment to the fullest.” The otherwise sleepy Kannada television market is expected to witness a lot of action this year with the entry of TV9 Kannada and Kannada Kasturi. The proceedings have already been kicked off by Zee Telefilms, which launched its entertainment channel Zee Kannada in May this year. Says Zee Kannada business head Venkat Giridhar on the key learnings the channel had in this three-month period: “Unlike any other South market, Kannada is open to all the other languages, whether it is Hindi, English, Tamil or Malayalam. Hence, it is kind of a complicate market for a new entrant. Our effort has been to educate the viewer on genres other than films and soaps. We are going ahead with our plans and will be launching a lot of new programmes which would fit into categories such as talent hunts and reality shows in the coming days.” Also read: Karnataka Opening Up!

When we dial your customer care number 30338282, then we will get the following message.
Step 1 : Welcome note
Step 2 : Option 1 for English, Option 2 for Hindi, Option 3 for Kannada.
Step 3 : Once when we select option three for Kannada we will get a recorded voice message saying “please wait I will transfer your call to our channel relation ship officer”. This message we are getting both in English and Kannada.
Step 4 : During the call waiting message before executive speaks we will get a music followed by voice message saying “ all out customer support executives are busy please be on line”. It is really shocking that this message is coming in telugu language. Each time when I spoken to your customer care executive this information was given and requested them to correct it, but no action has been taken.

In this regard please take some corrective action before it provokes Karnataka/Kannda people. Give respect to ISO 9001-2000 DNV certification granted to you.

Hi Tv9,

I have got admission in a IAS training istitute, I am writing the Prelims exam next year May and I had paid the fees to them in April and started attending the classes.But after 2 months they are telling that I need to pay the Fees for Mains classes also now only otherwise i should not attend the classes.   Pls visit Anekal town located in bangalore Urban district located just 35 Kms from capital city of karnataka,known for law less town Here we have govt offices like police station town municiple office etc but no law is implimented here ,you might have heard about sound pollution, but if you want to experience the highest lewel of sound pollution live for couple of days next to power loom,twisting machineor lathe machine factory ctreated next to the residential house (here all these factories created in residential area only).you will loose your nervous system its difficult to explain by words only if you experience with then you will be able to understand,above all if power goes off some of them have diesel generators with many horse power they run that then you will experience the real thunder ,These factories dont follow any timing 24 hrs they work as they like not even single police complaint lodged againist them,none of the municiple officers enquired about violation of law by taking licence for residential purpose and converting it as a factory,because many factory owners are municiple councelors are politisiance,Is there any one Helps Anekal residents

I appreciate your unbiased news telecasts.Our Hon.CM Mr.Yediyurappa’s concern on the Christian organisation’s foreign funds are sounding bit one sided.In fact Hindu organisations in India are getting more foreign funds and that money is meant for serving the poor in India. But some agency should keep a vigil on the usage of these funds.The recorded details must be available with the Income tax department by checking how many organisations in India have taken the Tax free schemes like 35AC 1 & 2 . One study says Matha Amruthangamayi’s organisation has the maximum foreign funding in thousands of crores.Are they given to the poor in India ? I think the general public must come to know these facts and should not spoil their good feelings by listning to the speeches of some people.Our good youth need to be educated in a positive environment inorder to have a positive attitude to love one another and live like brothers as we all the children of mother India. Hi,

Really condenm the atrocities on the minorities by who ever it has been done. it is not in the right directions.

Regarding The Bishops behaviour on the CM visit to the bishops house. it is totally sets the bishops behaviour in a bad light. Doesnot have the courtesy to even greet the CM into his office and vents his anger in the entrance itself. The Bishop who is head of all the priests, and the position known for peace should have set an example with a better behaviour and spoke about universal brotherhood and asking the CM whether he will feel good on any attacks on the hindu temples.

One more thing regarding the showing the bishop shouting and screaming on the CM is the repeated broadcasting on the few moments for nearly 20 to 25 times. Doesnt TV9 have good people who could edit or the media to set an example on the showing the broadcast.

We are working in SUBHIKSHA RETAIL SHOP Bangalore , In bangalore there are 52 branches more than 100’s of people are working in it .
(each store have 8 to 12 staff : total more than 600 people)

We are facing lot of PROBLEM IN THIS ORGANIZATION

We are working more than 10hrs , We are not getting salary on time , They promise us that they will give the salary on 7th but they never kept up thier word for even one month we are getting only after 25th of every month even this month also we didnot get our salary (THIS IS CONTINUING FROM PAST 3YEAR’S) , We are not having ID proof nor salary slip for the work we are doing , They come to distribute the salary from head office(INDIRANAGAR 1ST STAGE ) with one sheet having staff name and amount just we have to sign in that paper and take our salary when we ask for a salary slip they simply give the reasons that we dont know .

We are working from past more than 2year’s but till date we didnot get our PF number neither ESI card and some people have left the job and even they did not get the PF number or Cash , When they go to head office and ask with HR regarding this they tell them to come ofter two day’s and again when they go they give all bloddy kind of reason’s but till date the company has not given PF number or Cash NOT EVEN FOR A SINGLE PERSON

Many times we have gone to head office (INDIRANAGAR 1ST STAGE SUBHIKSHA TRADING SERVICE LTD) regarding this problem but there is no use nothing is happened.
The people who are working here are from middle class and we dont have the capacity to go and lodge a complaint to police station.

Sir i like to bring this to notice that O T C Road Bangalore 560 002. This Road is the main Road & it is very near by to B B M P Head Office & Ward Office too.
On O T C Road Next to Hotel Luci ya International there is land which is vacant from past few years & it has become a waste dumb yard & it has created Health issues ( like Rats/ Flies/ public Urinating & it has become a good place for some illegal activates too. The same is informed to the land owner also several times & The same was brought to B B M P official’s too ( Health Officer ward No-47 ) several times but only to waste our time But the Health officer has got no time to answer calls or he is very busy to attend the compliant too.
The other matter is on the same O T C Road there is Hotel Pai Vihar Opp to it there is one Public Urinals & that drain is connected to Rain water drain below the Foot path, it is creating very bad smell on one side off the foot path even this is brought to notice of Health officers & engineers of Ward 47 but there is not action been taken from past few months now .

We are really upset about the way B B M P is responding to public Problems & it is very near by to B B M P Head office & Ward office too.if B B M P is not able to solve the problems which is near by to Head office then what they will do in other places

So we request you to kindly help us to make all this in a correct way ,Hoping your help will be for us.

  The background music used in most of the Heegu Unte programmes were taken from Tamil Movies. For instance the background music of damaruga which is used for all Devi temple related programmes is actually of Rajanikanth’s Padayappa movie’s background score. For programmes related to saints they have used Rajanikanth’s BABA movie’s background score. But i could not able find out the background music which they have used for Lord Shiva temple related programmes. In case if u find it plz let me know. Thanks in advance.

Pl send me your email id and phone no, since there is lot of corruption going on BTS buses daily. They give different rate tickets daily for the same location. Eg. If i am travelling(Eg, Red Board Bus)from Place x to place y daily, few conductors charge 5 rs, few conductors charge 7 and few charge 3 even sometimes, I am really bugged up in talking to conductors and want to register a complaint with you. TV9 has become No.1 channel amoung all others. The programmes at Tv9 are really very good. especially Heegu Unte is really very interesting ..we dont miss it.. hatsoff to the programmer of Heegu huntee very good program. they take lot of risk to cover some of the episode..

one suggestion i have… you can update all the address and the telphone nos. and programme date of heegu huntee on your web and create a seperate folders .. so that the person who wish to look at some address can go through it and make use of it..

once again very intersting programme and narayana swamy is telecasting very nicely.. my wishes to him..

Im Darshan Im studying B.E. in K.I.T. Tiptur Karnataka I was gone to koma stage one 7 months before so i discontinued for 1 year and i went 2 my home town davangere Now i came 2 tiptur to write exams but now i cant stay in hostel i want to take transfer to G.M.I.T. davangere Karnataka But K.I.T. Administrators ask to pay full fees of four yr at once and also we has to pay fees in G.M.I.T. also for upcoming years Im A Payment Seat student mine fees is 85000 from cet Karnataka So we cant pay such huge amount for 2 yrs in K.I.T. and G.M.I.T. Hi.. I am Aravind from the City of Mysore sending you this mail.. Actually i was in search of The Famous Astrologer, Mr.Arulalan, who is famously known as “GURUJI” Contact Details..

I came to know that you are also in seeking of the same details.. I request you, If you already got his contact details, can you please send me also? I am also in very very urgent to contact him.. One of the programme called “DAARI DEEPA” In ZEE KANNADA CHANNEL, here he daily come.. But i didnt get line to contact him.. Somewhere it has been packed up while we were in shifting our house..

This is regarding Complaint on BBMP. In J.C. Nagar I Main Road people throwing garbages in Road itself. If it rains the whole road is bad smelling. People constructing house put mud on the road side. No one looking at it. Corporate Nagaraj and MLA Narendra Babu just visited twice here no action. Some time back BBMP Health Officer even visited. But none of them are taking any action.

SUZUKI two wheeler is creating a negative demand in the market for its ACCESS model scooter. I just believe that it is in tough competition with Honda ACTIVA. All the showrooms in Bangalore are cheating the public by creation of false demand factor without any justification.
What are the ways which you can book your ACCESS scooter?
1. Book by paying Rs 1000 to 2000 advance. For a waiting period of 3 to 4 months.
OR
2. Book by payment of full amount Rs 48530 + tax + smartcard charges + etc for accessories. Waiting period here is reduced to 2 months. Is this true???

I have booked my ACCESS vehicle by payment of full cash and the dealer had promised to deliver me one within 30 to 60 days. Unfortunately it has been more than 60 days and I do not see any calls or interest shown by the dealer representative. You would feel that I did not have patience then I should go-ahead and cancel my booking. You are right I have taken this extreme decision :-(. See what happens…. now…
What is more of concern is that I was not able to cancel my booking too.
I approach the dealer …..The answer I receive is that their MD is not in town to entertain cancellations and I will have to wait. Do I have to wait indefinitely for this, I do not know the period.

Now what is happening actually in the market….
All the Suzuki dealers in Bangalore are hoarding the ACCESS bikes and creating are showing that there is huge demand for this vehicle even thou this is not the case. What I have observed after investigation of couple of showrooms is that 40 to 60 bikes are kept in their godown stock and are not releasing to the public or the deserving bookings undertaken.
Are these dealers so foolish of the fact that they are ready to stock each vehicle of more than 50K each
Moreover the South End Road Suzuki Dealer does not have a godown to stock vehicles but uses the main road to stock vehicles. I have observed vehicles standing on the road for 4 weeks without being delivered. What more do we say with such dealers
OR
Jokingly…. Are these dealers creating a awareness in the public not to drive 2 wheelers and choke Bangalore Traffic more…

I’am not sure what the problem is or how should we tackle this problem. Any help would be appreciated greatly… :-). Thanking you in advance.

Sub: – 30 crores scam in C.V Ramannagar Divission.
Dear Sir,
This is regarding the tender notification attached with this mail numbered EE/CVR/tend/01/2009-10, dated 22-08-2009. Published in Kannada prabha on 01-09-2009
As per rules any tender above 200 lakhs a duration of 30 to 40 days has to be given prior to issue of blank tender forms from the date of publishing. But in this tender a short duration of about 24 hours was given that is the very next day was the last to submit the requests.
Executive Engineer Mr. Bhalappa Reddy who was in charge of this division was transferred a day back as he had objected to this fraud.
Requests from only six contractors were collected, other contractors who went to submit their requests were threatened by the staff of C.V Ramannagar division namely Mrs. Geetha (DM), peon Mr.Ayyappa, Executive Engineer Mr. Jaishanker Reddy, though we force fully submitted our requests arguing with the EE, later we were threatened by MLA Mr. Raghu who made us to take back our tender forms.
These works are bogus, estimated by six greedy contractors, who with MLA’s influence and Assistance Engineer Mr. Muralidhar and Assistance Executive Engineer Mr. Thavane ‘s support have got codes for all the works.
When complained to the commissioner Mr. Bharath Lal Mina regarding this scam he had sent TVCC Engineers to inspect the work spot, who upon inspection found that more than 80% of these works already existed, no action was taken by the commissioner.
The tender process have been completed and work orders are been issued to these contractors making a huge loss to the Tax payers money in crores.
I request your team to get detailed estimates and sketch for these works through RTI and inspect the work spots and publish this scam in your media, so that in future no such scams are repeated and action be taken on this culprits.

Our National Anthem… (A Must Read)
This is interesting. …..and shocking…. . ……..

‘Jana Gana Mana’ – Just a thought for the National Anthem! How well do you know about it?

I have always wondered who is the ‘ adhinayak’and’ bharat bhagya vidhata’,whose praise we are singing.. I thought might be Motherland India! Our current National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’is sung throughout the country.

Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn’t.

To begin with, India ‘s national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honor of King George V and the Queen of England when they visited India in 1919. To honor their visit Pandit Motilal Nehru had the five stanzas included , which are in praise of the King and Queen.(And most of us think it is in the praise of our great motherland!! !)

In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule,i.e . Punjab, Sindh,Gujarat ,Maratha etc. were mentioned. None of the princely states were recognized which are integral parts of India now Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra, Mysore or Kerala.

Neither the Indian Ocean nor the Arabian Sea was included, since they were directly under Portuguese rule at that time. The Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka implies that King George V is the lord of the masses and Bharata Bhagya Vidhata is ‘the bestower of good fortune’.

Following is a translation of the five stanzas that glorify the King.

*First stanza:* (Indian) People wake up remembering your good name and ask for your blessings and they sing your glories. (Tava shubha name jaage; tava shubha aashish maage, gaaye tava jaya gaatha)

*Second stanza*: Around your throne people of all religions come and give their love and anxiously wait to hear your kind words..

*Third stanza:* Praise to the King for being the charioteer, for leading the ancient travelers beyond misery.

*Fourth stanza: *Drowned in the deep ignorance and suffering, poverty-stricken, unconscious country? Waiting for the wink of your eye and your mother’s (the Queen’s) true protection..

*Fifth stanza*: In your compassionate plans, the sleeping Bharat (India) will wake up. We bow down to your feet O’ Queen, and glory to Rajeshwara (the King).

This whole poem does not indicate any love for the Motherland but depicts a bleak picture. When you sing Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, whom are you glorifying? Certainly not the Motherland. Is it God? The poem does not indicate that. It is time now to understand the original purpose and the implication of this, rather than blindly sing as has been done the past fifty years.

So they can as well play Vande Mataram, which is a far better composition in praise of our Dear Motherland India.

Please don’t break the chain lets see how many people are coming to know about it.

In J.C.Nagar(Mahalaxmi layout), I Main Road, near Shankarmutt busstand their is a huge garbage kept on road side. One of the house owner(who is politically influenced) is throwing the briks pieces and garbage in the road side. None of the officers(Visited) is taking any action. The local MLA Mr. N.L. Narendra Babu(Congress) visited twice this place but no action taken by him too. This place is really very dirty which is totally opposite the word “Clean Bangalore”. I request you to visit this place IMMEDIATELY.
This may prove to the people how much BBMP is elegant in doing their job.

I wish to state that in my new house my husband has given them Duplicate household key so there is a big Prostitute Gang operating in Anand Nagar and that Gang is fully influenced by Policemen and higher officials. This gang used to bring people at 1.00 a.m. to 4.00 a.m. in the midnight and to the Prostitute Business in our House. After that these people used to follow me to scare me wherever I go to office and returning to office during Sunday’s also. I have changed more than 6 Godrej locks to my door but all of them failed as they are using them with duplicate keys. They are very clever in even highly rated Godrej locks were opened in my house. And still the business is going on daily for the past nine months. These Prostitute business will be running and one person will lock the door of my house and after they finish the business that party calls them to open the door and they will go away between 4.00 a.m.

Sir, I have informed my ailing mother and elder sister also they have informed me not to tell anybody as the Owner of the house will chase me out and live with your husband peacefully as you have got small child and life will be in danger.

Sir, please help me how I can solve this and the Prostitute business is running daily in our house and near my mother’s house there will be car to scare us and near our house also two wheelers, auto and cars will be there near the ring road of my mother’s house.

If I tell my husband he will call me I am mad. I will admit you in Nimhans. Please help to stop this Prostitute Gang business.

I am looking forward for your reply. Even though we catch them we have catch them in the midnight within 1.00 a.m. to 4.00 a.m. my husband has given them One Bed Room for Prostitute Business and One Hall Room for Prostitute Business. and these Prostitute gang will open our door and outside they will lock the door and after they finish the business they will call and inform them to open.

Here is the incident happened with us on 19/12/09 I would like to share with you so you could aware the people through your media.

On Saturday one fellow came & introduced him self as he can treat us to have a kid & expert in Unani medication not only for conceiving also for many illness he told us no need of paying any amt unless treatment get successes. His details as provided by him Mr Swamy G L he will show some certificate & applies medicine to stomach & give some medicine to eat & tell us prepare powder on ingredient which will be available at home 7 one more think if we don’t agree to take after his approach he try to skied us by telling if you not take my medicine the medicine given by him will start reacting 7 can cause several problems. frankly nothing had happened to me. I felt its My social responsibility to inform any body who can awar the people.

i TV9 team,

Last week we had been to kollachadri. Before jeeps would go till the tip. Recently for some reason, they have digged up a pit in the road so that no jeep can go. They have taken stay not to fill up the dig that to before court is on vacation. Its very difficult to climb. We need to walk 8.5 km on that steep road(Mud and rock). Its very difficult for tourists. if this is the case, who will go so far and return back without seeing it. we could not see it as we could walk only 4 km, later mom and others could not climb.

After pit has come, 100+(Jeep drivers) people are without jobs.

I am wondering why Tv9 has not covered this. No one there in kollachadri is ready to reveal whats the problem.

TO TV9 Dear sir please help me I am in a very poor back ground family and I have given 5000 /- rs to the bbmp to give me a letter stating my old porperty no 48 . according to bbmp it was changed to new number 25/1. when i reached for bbmp office to collet old number to new number they asked me to pay 3000/- rs and i have given it 2 weeks before, but they pormised to give with in a 3 days , but they asking for more money and its already 2 weeks late. but they demanding more money from me . Am from very poor family so please help me to get that letter from bbmp . AM paid all my salary to them still they are asking and delaying for money. I am Mohan murali from poor family backround i have requested BBMP regarding our property that the Old # 48 and it has been changed to # 25/1 by BBMP. So i requested for an Endorsement letter from #48 to #25/1. So they have asked me to pay the bribe has 3000.00 and already i have paid them 3500.00,they have promised that they will give by 3 days. Now the scenario has been taken to 3 weeks. Every day they asking us to come and collect the letter, but when we go and ask for the letter they demand for more money, its been 3 weeks, every day they take 200 to 300rupees. We from poor family it is very difficult for the bus charge too. The office is located in Domlur, Bangalore. Kindly requesting TV9 to support and help in this matter and solve the corruption.

I always watch your programmes & i am one of your tv 9′s fan. Please send me the address of the blind man about 50 – 55 years old who is leaving his mother in somewhere nearby place to arsikere, chikmanagalore or hassan I think. It was telecasted few months back in heegu hunte programe in TV 9 Kannada. Please dont neglect my request. We had lost something & we want to find it. That blind man will find the lost things with the help of some stone or with some leaf (ale) i think. not sure. Dear sir, sir, first we dont want to mention our name and second thing we wants to know ur reply by practicle investigation to social work depts. (18 private colleges affiliated by GUG and dept. of social work GUG). and dept. of MSW gulbarga university gulbarga how it is spoiling the social work dept. student lifes, sir in main campus there is no eligible candidate ( teaching faculty)to run the dept. and present faculty is not eligible beacuse reason you have to identify the problem through interviewing with social work students and scond thing dept. running 99 percent through guest lectures they dosnt know what is proffessional social work and they are a university levevl teaching the students.its very bad thing. ok if they taking admission earning money both private colleges and university but what about students future presently around 900 students sudents studying msw but they dont have future no body is there to think about students. in our university no cmpus interview are conducting because faculty is dont wants to work only wants salary other thing NGOs are totally corrupted they are not giving proper sallary, next Govt.sector no jobs for students over all summary what it will be indicate we think it is best way either UGC should take serious action about this issue or students should not go to take education in social work dept. in Gulbarga University and affiliated cooleges. our humble request to up coming Degree students please avoid to take admission in GUG/ private colleges if ur very eager to take admission than go to other university which are better than this pls dont collaps ur life and specially dont kill to ur parents no problem if ur not taking admission but think crores time and take desion this not a joke to play with ur and ur parents life taking msw adm. in GUG. we think in this matter TV9 will take very very serious action and will investigate the real things. GUG it self running three branches including GUG but only one faculty is running take caring. is it possible totally GUG is cheating students. sub: Regarding puc college lecturer recruitment by kpsc.

Sir 1764 PUC lecturer posts are call formed by kpsc , laste date for applying is may 15th and exam is on july 7th. But we MA final year last(4th)semester students are not allowed to appear the exams, the PU lecturer post is called once in five or ten years. so it will be a great loss to us. If we see, the final year degree students are allowed to write the competitive exams like IAS, IPS, IFS & KAS, MA final year students are allowed to appear NET exams then why is it? that our state government is not giving us the chance to write exams as we are in the end of our semester & MA… I request and Hope from you that you take some measures, inquire students education minister and KPSC and at least give a news about it on your channel, say government to postpone for a month so that our exams will be over in June before the exam lecturer exam i.e on July 7th as it is the last ray of hope for us.

in Jeevanalli Area Bangalore karnataka . Seems to be abnormal death.
On 08-11-2012 it was buried in Jeevan Halli burial ground around 2 – 3 PM.

Note: Victim was not taken to hospital, and it was confirmed heart attack
by his family member and for the same they have some death certificate.
