Professor H.R. Chandrasekhar, “Chandra,” received a B.Sc. degree from Bangalore University, India in 1966, an M.Sc from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 1968, and a Ph.D. in Physics from Purdue University, Lafayette, IN in 1973. After a post-doctoral fellowships at Purdue University and the Max-Planck-Institute für Festkörperforschung, Stuttgart, Germany, he joined the faculty of the Physics Department at the University of Missouri, Columbia MO in 1978. He is currently Professor of Physics, Department Chair and Director of Graduate Studies. He is an Alfted P. Sloan Fellow and a past consultant to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under the TOKTEN project..

  3. Every Kannadiga should be proud of The Book, Karnataka Bhagawatha. It is meticulously prepared with the help of eminent kannada scholars. This is truely a International endevour !

    Similar works should be carried out, so that all the palm leaves which are lost in the dusty, dingy corners of karnataka, and elsewhere, will see the light of the day !

  5. ಕನ್ನಡದ ತಾಯಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡೋದು ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಸಾರಿ, ಆದರೆ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸಲ್ಲದು, ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿದ್ಯೆ ಪಡೆದರು ಕೂಡ ಕನ್ನಡದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು ಅದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಧರ್ಮ
