ಗೆಳೆಯರೇ,
ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ರಂಗಶಂಕರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದ ಯಾವುದೇ ನಾಟಕಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಬಹುದು.

Through this topic we can share our opinions about any drama we have “experienced” in Rangashankara…

ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣ- ಎಸ್. ಸುರೇಂದ್ರನಾಥ್.
Sunday The 22nd July 2007:

This was a drama which talks about the perceptions of three different characters.
This is a drama in Kannada.
This has four scenes.
First three are three monologues.
And the last is an ಉಪಸಂಹಾರ.

1. A woman is talking about her husband who has passed away 8 months ago.
2. The husband is talking about all his activities and his dissatisfaction about the things which are happening at his house, mainly about the behaviour of his son.
3. The son is talking about his father who has answer for all the charges of his father.
4. Mother of the first scene is saying that her son has begun to behave like his father after the death of his father.

The whole play of 70 mins is in complete white… background, light, dress… indicating death (?)
The whole series of monologues are connected by the monotonous dripping of water (Even before the drama starts!)
The drama shows
a. how the perceptions differ.
b. what is generation gap
c. how we are the same deep in the soul
d. how we hate others when they are alive and do the same when they die.

After all,

BY THE TIME YOU REALIZE THAT YOUR FATHER WAS RIGHT, YOU WOULD HAVE CHILD WHO SAYS YOU ARE WRONG.

Nice acting.
Too lengthy monologues make you stay through with the help of everyday humour.
Nothing significant about Girija Lokesh’s acting.
Sihikahi Chandru was saying, “None”, over a Radio City program as an answer for the question, “Which role has given you satisfaction, among all the roles you have done in movies”.
He should come on stage like this more and more and satisfy audience as well as himself.
I could not believe that he had done the role of old man, so meek, when I saw him walking jubilienty in his knickers past Rangashankara Cafe..
Dear Chandru… you should keep in regular touch with Theatre if you want to ALIVE!

Quickness of Mr. Hegde as son, in dialogue delivery, justfying body language….

Good…

Watch it… if you get it again….
